At Spotify, we work hard to elevate creative expression and want our community to safely present their authentic selves, but that does not mean that anything goes.
Our long-standing Platform Rules outline what is and isn’t allowed on Spotify. We prioritise the review of content that impacts minors, presents a greater risk of offline harm or may be illegal.
When we find content that violates our Platform Rules or is illegal under local law, we may take a range of actions. These actions may include removing content, restricting distribution, applying content advisory labels and/or demonetisation.
Abuse of our reporting process can lead to restrictions on your ability to submit reports in the future, and repeated violations of the Spotify Terms of Use, including our Platform Rules, may result in your account being suspended or terminated.
Anyone with an email address can report content on Spotify, even if they do not have a Spotify account. Please note that abuse of our reporting process may restrict your ability to submit requests in the future.
Options for appealing content decisions vary by location, and we will continue to expand our capabilities in the future.
If you disagree with an enforcement decision taken on your content or in response to your report, you may be able to submit an appeal. To do this, please follow the instructions in the notification that you may have received from Spotify.
We share the outcome and reasoning with both the person who submitted the appeal and, where relevant, the person who originally reported the content. We do not reveal personal identities to any party unless required to by law.If you find inaccurate information or issues with app functionality, you can report them here. If you’re an artist, your label or distributor can help fix problems with your music.
