1. Who are we and what do we do?
We are Spotify and we have a very fun job! We are a digital audio service. Our job is to help you discover and listen to music.
We think music is the best thing in the world. We want to help you to explore it.
2. Who is this page for?
This page is for children under the age of 15 who have a Managed Account on a Spotify Family Plan.
If you’re not sure what this means, ask your parent or guardian to help you.
Your parent or guardian can read their version of this page if they need more info.
3. What is Data Info about?
When you use Spotify you, or your parent or guardian, tell us things about you like your name and birthday. We call this ‘data’. This page will help you to understand what we do with your data.
Read this page with your parent or guardian. Ask them questions if you do not understand. You can also ask us questions - we will tell you more about this later.
We will change this page sometimes. We will tell you or your parent or guardian about any big changes.
4. Do I have a say about my data?
Yes. You can ask us to do some things with your data. These are known as your “rights”, and your parent or guardian can contact us about these rights.
This is what you can ask us to do:
- Tell you what we do with your data.
- Delete your data. If you do this you won’t be able to use parts of Spotify that need your data to work, for example some of our content would be unavailable to you.
- Give you a copy of your data.
- Fix your data if it’s wrong.
- Stop using your data for certain things. If you do this you won’t be able to use parts of Spotify that need your data to work.
Ask your parents or guardian for help if you want us to do any of these things. They can help you to ask us.
If you are unhappy about how we use your data you can contact us. It won’t always be possible for us to do what you ask. Your parents or guardian can help to explain why.
