To give you a taste of what it's like to work here, we've asked a few of our colleagues to describe life at Spotify.
After getting a M.Sc. in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Niklas went on an exchange program to study 'Success factors in new ventures' at UC Berkeley in California.
Over to Niklas: "The entrepreneurial culture of Silicon Valley was very appealing to me, and by then I knew that I wanted to work for a start-up." When his classmate got a Spotify beta account, Niklas' tried it, and knew right away that he wanted to work for Spotify. Now, a few years later, this is a reality.
Niklas works as an Account Manager in the Label Relations team and has been with Spotify since Aug 2009. "Working in the Label Relations team is interesting because we get to work very close to the music; we do lots of campaigns for new music and it's not uncommon to go to show cases or hear albums before they are released."
On working for Spotify, Niklas says: "Do it. You get to work with brilliant people and, together with our partners, we're part of re-shaping the music industry".
In his spare time, Niklas practices Thai boxing with several colleagues, fortunately not while they're working! He's also learning how to play the piano. Here's his playlist: Sound and Vision
