As I understand, only special partners can publish app for the Spotify Platform. Will this change so individuals and non-major partners can publish their app to the Spotify Platform in a later stage, alongside with an ability to search app by text and categories as the android market? I would consider an one time fee of 15 USD (125 SEK) for joining the program and create a developer account (Like Google do for Android Market) instead of manual approvement, to hold out unserious developers from bloating the Spotify platform with bad things. I would be very sad if the Spotify Platform was only open for only major partners like labels to join this, it would make this awesome feature a new advertisement system that even targets the Premium Model.
I'ld like to try it, but I don't see apps on my linux version, not on my iPhone and not on in my Sonos player. Is any of these 3 interfaces supported? I thought it was in the preview version of spotify, so the linux preview version should have it, right?
Spotify Apps: Seems only to work in some countries. No Apps in Switzerland.
@Riccardo Have you downloaded Spotify from the Windows section? To access the Apps, you need to go to the "Previews" section and choose the Win download under the heading "Spotify Apps Preview Version". Please note that Spotify Apps is still in beta version so it could be some bugs lurking around. Hope this help!
