Share the Music

With Spotify, you can share anything with anybody. A track you love, or a whole playlist. It’s incredibly easy to do as everything has a link that is shareable. Simply right click on what you want to share and select “Copy HTTP Link”. This link can be emailed, posted across your social networks and even pasted into your IM conversations.

On Facebook? You can share music with your Facebook friends inside Spotify, and also view their published playlists. All you need to do is connect to your Facebook account within Spotify and any of your Facebook friends who are also connected will appear in your People list.

Keeping it seamless and simple, the playlists you’ve decided to share will be updated instantly when you add, remove or re-order songs. Here’s a playlist of staff favorites to get you inspired for the week ahead!

I think you should make an outbox where we can see what we've sent to who, it gets where you can't remember who you sent what to.

@rgp4chip - GREAT idea...an outbox like that would be PERFECT for someone like me...I tend to share a lot, and I do tend to forget where I've already sent a music file...or anything for that matter!

You should make it easy to browse what you have available. Link to similar artists, songs, genres, etc. Your service is great but having iTunes own you in the ability to find new things you may be interested in is very bad. Get your UI in check and give us what we're expecting at minimum ON TOP OF what you offer as new.

if you added a chat client to spotify i would use facebook much less, just sayin THANK YOU so much for spotify, its my new favorite thing

Your interminable "commercial" - a recording by Royce 5'9" is awful. I am within inches of unsubscribing.

Why not display a list of songs that are on that playlist...?

I LOVE this program, but what kills me is that it's 10.99 a month for songs we can't even own. I could buy one CD a month for that much and listen to it for the rest of my life. I think it's asking a little much. I think $2.99 or less per month would be fair for mobile and more if you don't want the advertisements. This is the only thing holding me back as a consumer. Ideally this program should be free considering I can use YouTube on my cellphone and listen to whatever I want, whenever I want, as many times as I want... for free.

I don't understand sharing to specific users. It seems as the Inbox is useless in the US. In the instructions it says in order to send something to a friend so they can see it in their Inbox you right click the playlist and got to Share to.... Problem is the only tabs that are visible are Facebook, Twitter and Messenger. Something is broken.

Another vote for outbox. I can't remember which songs I've sent to which people. I've also occasionally got an error when trying to send, so I'm not sure if it ever went through successfully.

Another vote for the Outbox! Also: 1) I can't stand duplicates in playlists. Can you add a popup that would let you know you're about to add a song that already is in a playlist. In fact, I could see this working with sharing songs too, so that you'd get a pop up if you're about to send a friend the same song twice. 2) Why is it that the sorting options disappear when looking at an Artist Page? I can only sort searches. I want to click on an artist's name, then sort their songs by album, name, etc. 3) The What's New category is usually filled with a small handful of albums, most of which are crappy over produed pop albums. Just sayin. Keep up the great work! Can't wait to see more updates.

Please put in an outbox, it is a huge feature. It would also be nice that when you go to "Share to...", in the dialog window that follows, it inform you if you've already shared with them that song. A history display here would be useful as well.

On a separate but related topic to music sharing. I'd like to suggest placing in a better way to comment on songs. Currently you: "Share to..." and leave a comment for the person you are sharing with -> Upon receiving the song the person can see the senders comment on the chat bubble next to the senders name in the inbox -> This is where the trail ends, if I want to comment back, i have to Re-share the song with them, and I do not want to do that at all, I only want to comment on it. To have the chat bubble comment-able would be a solution for this, like a mini running history of comments.

Why can you only pay with a creditcard? I want to upgrade my spotify account but i can't, beceause i can not use my meastro card. Is it possible to fix this problem?

There should be a comment option not only for shared music but also for playlists! I also vote for an outbox, great idea. And a small chatwindow for spotify friends would make spotify just perfect!

totally agree with danielle!!! chat and outbox are missing...:(

I couldn't agree more!!! OUTBOX! OUTBOX! OUTBOX! chat would also be great but not necessary
