Need you guys to explain how some tracks get unavailable and later pulled from play lists. This whole album disappeared from one of my play lists: http://open.spotify.com/album/17hUlJx4lu4ftPX6XYlv6x

@zamotrance -- ubfortunately Spotify is not guilty about that. Just a problem of rights owner and digital distribution. Sometimes too that comes from labels or artists. To go further with Spotify, new music and playlists, check out : http://www.soundofus.com

Will there be an option in the future to browse albums by genre?

As ga8 says, tracks come and go from Spotify (and all other music streaming services) - for a bit more on why, see: http://pansentient.com/2010/07/so-long-and-thanks-for-all-the-streams/

iheartrevolution - you can definitely refine your searches by genre When searching, type in for example “genre:soul“

flac support would be great!

@ga8 a bunch of albums on that site are "not available in my region"

@samken than and streaming from home support (like subsonic). It would make it a killer app.

Hey, guys... can you talk about organizing/sorting playlists?

i knew you could look for genre by typing genre:whatever, but i noticed that when you search for classica, the first hits are from the transformer and harry potter movies. not from the classical composers. maybe theyre under a different genre.

The invites has still not been collected...see above

I instantly dropped for a $9.99 Premium account, which I love. We actually dropped Netflix in favor of Spotify. The problem is that my wife likes to use it too, and $20/month gets nuts. We have kids, too, which would bump it up to $30, then $40/month. It'd be awesome if you could work out some sort of "Family Plan."

Pay for a beta (linux client) pfft... Goodbye Spotify...

It would be awesome if there could be "statuses" or "walls" for compilation playlists.

All invites gone btw

Syncing my ipod right now and its only syncing local files. I would like to get the starred songs in it as well. Can you help me?

I keep seeing mention of Spotify Radio. Where is it? I'm running the windows client, don't see it anywhere ...

Once a play list is created can it be delete if you no longer want it?

I need help to get back to my play list.I have highlighted everything that I can find and still can not get the play list to display. Also the music that is playing is not on my play list. You have a great product but it could be easier is to back to the play list. Thank you.

I have ti say the more I use your service the more i like it. I'm of the generation where you have to have physical access to your tunes to enjoy so this is a real treat. I will say that I dont see much value in your share function as only other soptify members can listen. It would be nice to shre music and maybe you guys can have a page with advertising where other non spotify members can listen to your link.

The genre search isn't too hot. No "indie" or "alternative" or "indie rock" genre. Why doesn't it use the genre tags on my library. Should have a genre column on my library.

Radio please? PLEASE???

please put in a genius playist option instead of just the related artists funtion! it was my favorite part about itunes.

Why is there no "Import" option under my local files? Using windows 7

Why do I have some songs greyed out in my playlists? I can play them, but a friend can see the playlist, but cannot see the greyed out songs. Why is that?

Just got spotify to sync its music to my ipod classic. can someone please explain to me how I do this? do I need a premium account? I have the unlimited account but can get my library to sync with my ipod. please help, the silence is killing me.

When I search, the results are good, but EVERY song is grayed out so I can't play it. What do I do?

I give. Where the fuck is the search bar????????????????????????????

@iphughes You need the premium to sync with your iPod. Unlimited just removes the ads, but doesn't allow you to get your playlists on your mobile device or iPod.

I was trying to try out the "free plan" to see if I want to do this. I can't get it to come up and when I ask for help, they say premium gets help first. I understand that in theory but doesn't make me want to pay money when I can't test drive...
