Spotify for iPhone v0.4.1, which addresses a number of critical issues that some users experienced with the previous update, is now available in the App store. This update should help users who experienced problems connecting over certain Wi-Fi networks and allow users to turn off iPod integration which was causing Spotify to crash in certain cases.
If you were experiencing crashes with the previous update please navigate to the ‘More’ screen and turn off iPod integration.

ipod synch/integration doesn't cause it to crash anymore, but my playlists are not synching from my desktop spotify...smh

Wtf.. Is it me noticing just now, our was a lot of songs lost at the same time this update came? Among others i miss Nationalteatern, Imperiet and Hello Saferide...?
Updated, disabled the ipod integration but I still get the same crashes when opening playlists :( The titlebar just flashes the playlist's name, then goes red and blank green again and boom I'm on the iPhone homescreen. Sometimes it opens fine but usually crashes, am I alone with this one?
@goliat_43: MNW has changed distribution so the old distributor had to remove all titles. They should be back soon. The Hello Saferide albums (and some other titles from Razzia/Family Tree) are available in new versions. Just update your playlists and you should be fine.
Im confused. I may be missing something very obvious here but I seem unable to stream ANYTHING over wifi on the iphone atm. AM I missing something!? :)

Is there a way to "hide unplayable tracks" like in the mac/pc version? It is annoying with missing tracks.
I download the new version succesfully but i still have the same problem han before i can only listne to 45 seconds of evry song off and online.( I have and ipod touch first generation ) tks

its taken about 10 hours to sync about 100 songs with my ipod left on. This is a joke im not buying spotify premium again.
the new version doesnt work for me...i cant sync my playlists or download them to my phone.....getting a bit frustrated
Glad I haven't upgraded as it seems nothing short of a catastrophe!!! I hope that Spotify take heed that they have probably lost a lot of customers due to this immense error. An almost inexcusable error of mosjudgement releasing a version riddled with so many bugs. However, let's see how they do in responding to the huge lack of confidence they have now generated - after all, we do all learn from our mistakes. Won't be upgrading until I know that it will be seamless & bug free.........
i have tryed it, it's to slow to load the music, but i like anything else off it, i have premium because my iPod touch, but now it's to slow to load the music online...
So far no problems, although only synching 2 playlists. taken about 20 minutes for 60 songs (lower quality though, i'm no audiophile! :P) Thank you for getting the release to us so quickly, I really wasn't expecting this until tuesday at the earliest!

Works perfectly. New playlist create option when you are saving tracks is great.
It would be much better to show only playlists with offline streamable tracks in offline mode. Implementation is a no-brainer and i wonder, why this issue is still not solved in v.0.4.x. So we still have to scroll ENDLESSLY through playlists with tracks only available in online mode...#fail :(((

I didn't upgrade yet. Still on v0.3. Thank god! The roll-out of v4 has been a complete disaster. If i upgrade now to v0.4.1 will I still lose offline playlists or is this issue fixed?? Thanks
I updated and didnt loose any offline playlists. So if there was an issue, must work now. But how exactly does the iPod integration work? ..what is it exactly? and thanks for the Last.fm scrobbling!
I spoke too soon - the previous version (last weeks update) did sort the track numbering as I remember listening to Chicago - The Musical, and prior to the update the tracks would play in a random order. After the new version was released the ordering was correct, but now with the latest release we are back to random. Please can we have the ordering sorted again - thanks!
to add to my own response, what I found after some digging is that when syncing playlists it adds them from your iPod playlist instead of downloading? does that mean I will have 2 versions of it on my iPod or will it just play from the original file?
I'm still seeing the big Restoring turning wheel for far too long every time I start... (But at least I can login again now!)
Been a painful weekend for me on the spotify front. upgraded to 0.4 - lots of crashes and wouldn't accept my login details. upgraded to 0.4.1 - lost all of my offline tracks, which is a royal pain given i now need to find a time to leave iphone for hours to re-download again. i see a lot fo spinning arrows for restoring/loading. I'm yet to work out what the ipod integration is beyond it seems to duplicate tracks in playlists that i then cannot play. i love spotify, but this weekend has not been good. I love the desire to push out more features, but i'd rather wait for rock solid releases then endure another weekend like this. I also think that spotify iphone was great before, and there were other things i'd be interested in before such as for example an inbuilt version of unify (adobe air app - http://www.getunify.com/)
I didn't suffer from the majority of bugs everyone is complaining about, even on .4.0 ... I think you guys are doing a great job BUT I also think that you're still missing tricks with regards to usability and integration.. For example... Why am I getting paste link for use with Twitter? The API quite comfortably allows you to authenticate, so why not just let me put in my account details and post direct from spotify? I know we're all hopeful that firmware 4 will bring some kind of backgrounding, but wanting to share the track i'm listening to and having to CLOSE the app to do so is something you could have overcome... even a quick fix would be to wrap an internal app browser so it didn't 'have' to leave... Have you investigated the User Experience of other award winning apps (Tweetie comes to mind)? There is a lot that the spotify app could learn from apps like these and it would greatly increase the enjoyability and functionality for all users of the service. Like I say, it's actually a massive step forwards, and I use this way more to listen and manage my playlists than the desktop version so keep it up... i'm looking forward to what you come out with next :D
I didn't have any major problems before but I wish I hadn't installed this new version on my Ipod Touch. The app tells me I have 751 tracks to sync and then crashes (closes). This happens every time I run it! Not good Spotify!
@dnesset - Try disabling iPod integration in the 'More' menu and see if it solves the crash.
@Andres Please could you explain what iPod integration is? I cannot find this feature documented anywhere on your site. Please reassure me that you are not sending a list of my iPod tracks to your Spotify server as the GUI seems to suggest it is doing.

Some thought about the new version: I'm guessing "Restoring" refers to restoring your last state, so you can continue where you left of since you shut down the app? I think this can be a little confusing to some people as it sounds like the app is restoring something from being broken. I don't think you need to explain this in the app, you should simply call it "Loading". Many people complained about the disappearance of the volumeslider, I didn't have a problem with that and preferred to use the buttons, which you still can BUT now, unfortunately, the system volume icon is gone while using the buttons. I would like to see the return of that, if possible. "High Quality", how many Kbs is that?

I have found two problems: 1.- There is no classical style on the Spotify radio! 2.- I can't sort the spotify lists on my iphone... I hope you can solve those problems as soon as possible. Thaks!
Just a quick follow-up to my last post to say I took the plunge; upgraded from v03 to v041, and my offline playlists are all still working fine. Plus, thanks for the last fm scrobbling. This is a huge bonus and it works well. Finally, It's nice to see the ability to post to twitter, BUT what a shame the spotify app has to close to open safari. Doh! Still, better than before though.
For crying out loud! Make the Spotify with QT code so it can be used for several OS's like Windows, Linux, Symbian, Maemo etc... This way people with Linux and Maemo OS's could use native Spotify too!
Great news that the iPhone will now support multitasking for apps like Spotify. This could be a game changer for the company. I stopped subscribing to premium because I couldn't use the phone for anything else.
I have still problems with the update... In my iPod, Spotify crashes very often, and it also springs spontaneously to playlist view... :(

Some great new features, but now the app can see what songs we already have on our device, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let spotify play tracks that aren't in your database. I have numerous songs that just aren't on Spotify, and I'd like to not have to quit out of Spotify and load up the iPod app in order to listen to them. It'd also be great to include them in playlists with regular spotify tracks. And a Play All Playlists (with shuffle) would also be a great addition. Cheers!
Hi there I've been having a hellish time with this update. Like many of the other posters, Spotify app kept crashing on me every time i tried to open it. I finally followed advice from "anders"@ "@dnesset - Try disabling iPod integration in the 'More' menu and see if it solves the crash." This fixed my crashing issues. I must say that I think a rushed update has caused infinitely more problems than it sought to solve. One last thing - it seems that Spotify have introduced a device limit of 3 of using a spotify premium account. As I have 3 computers and a phone, this causes problems for me - would be much easier to manage if you have an "authorise/deauthorise device" option in either the application (desktop or mobile) or in the on-site account area.
