Spotify in Norway at 7-Eleven & Narvesen

We previously announced that you could purchase Spotify Premium months in retail stores in Sweden. Starting today we’re extending this offer so that you can also purchase premium months in 7-Eleven & Narvesen stores in Norway. You can select one, three, six or twelve month purchases.

Just as in Sweden, you’ll receive a receipt that contains a code. Log into the Spotify website and enter that code on the premium purchase page and your account will be immediately upgraded so that you can start enjoying the benefits of a premium subscription.

If you’re missing a stocking stuffer or little gift to slide into a card this Christmas this could be just what you’re looking for.

Note: A 5 NOK store service charge will be added to the premium price.

You should bring that to the Finnish R-Kioski chain as well at some stage - Let's hope they won't charge more than 1 euro which more or less equals 5 NOK or 5 SEK. As a kiosk chain with long opening hours they are a somewhat greedy chain.

Is the code you buy enough to create a new account ?

@thomaslo: yes, you can either use it to add or extend premium for an existing account, or to create a new one

What about gift cards? A receipt isn’t too good of a Christmas present. People like me, hate having to do stuff (buying a card, copying the code over to the card, writing something on the card, …) over-selfs. When can we order gift cards and have them mailed directly to the recipient from the Spotify Web site? ;)

@aleksand: since about an hour or so, you can order gift cards and have them e-mailed (or printed) from the Spotify website. Look in the bottom-left corner of the front page.

@magnus: The front-page promo only allows me to send them by email.

@aleksand - There's an option to print out the gift card rather then email it.

This is awesome. But can I give this to someone who DOESN'T have a Spotify account? Because I had to be invited to use Spotify, and couldn't sign up for the free version.

@nachtwulff: yes, you can either use it to add or extend premium for an existing account, or to create a new one. no need for an invite.

Wonderful news! Narvesen here I come! :D

Herlig Spotify!

Noes! The buy buttons have come to norway! >.< Any update whether you have even slightly considered giving premium users a option that will hide the buy button row? Im not paying for links to some shitty music store.

Spotify on Windows Mobile ?

Oh, you wonderful people! Guess I'll be purchasing christmas presents in the kiosk this year. This is a very good thing for me, cause I seriously hate shopping. Well done!

@magnus Sweet! The perfect christmas gift for the new age of social media :P

My local narvesen kiosk failed majorly. The lady at the cash register started complaining to me that they had not been given any information about it, and she was unable to let me buy Spotify Premium. Guess this will be an ad-filled christmas :P

Had some minor hiccups at my local Narvesen as well today. No information given to the personnel on how to access the subscriptions. Luckily the clerks took the time to browse through their systems until they found the purchase options.

Cool, i live in norway:) About the buy buttons, i think more people would buy songs if it was possible to buy with mobilephone, kinda much easyer, andsome people like me get 20£ on the mobile card every month, but barely use it, i have over 100£ on it now, but i can't use them on something useful:)

Hi! I have been to several 7-eleven and narvesen stores in Norway. But nobody sells Spotifty. I was planning to buy premium accounts as christmas gifts for my friends and family. But now I will probably have to look for different gifts. Can somebody please explain to me why the shops don't sell this?

torodde; Hadde samme problem.

If you give this gift to someone who previously does't have an account they can sign up and use the gift, but what happens after the gift certificate expires? Does the accout close or can they access the free version?

-ingrid Yeah it turns into the ad based "free" version when the subscription runs out, keeping the play list and everything, just can't save the songs on your computer any more.

what happens when pemiumen exit?

Skjerping! Her røk det mange miljøvennlige julegaver.

narvesen i Skien hadde fått det inn like før juletider.

good, here i com`s

Could you buy for an entire year? Instead of going to Narvesen every month. And ofc, i could buy 12 codes. But there should be some sort of, price cut when you buy a 12 months.

For those who experience that Narvesen won't sell them Spotify Premium: tell the guy/lady behind the desk to enter the "plus-menu". The Spotify Premium buy-button can be found under the tab "Nettkoder". I my self am working at Narvesen, and had no problem finding this. Still, we have not got any information about this from "the higher-ups" in Reitan Servicehandel. Note! The receipt you get when you buy Spotify Premium at Narvesen or 7/11 in Norway is extremely long! I thought it was some error-message at first, but it was actually a whole bunch of useless information. The only thing you are interested in when buying Prem is the code and how to use it, nothing else.

You can buy 1 month for 104 NOK, 3 months for 302 NOK, 6 months for 599 NOK or 1 year for 1193 NOK. The difference in price from when you buy online is due to that Narvesen and 7/11 want to profit from selling Prem. Maby it is to cover the extra paper-expences they get because of the extremely long receipts?

i wish at spotify will go to PORTUGAL ANSWELL well all my friends over ther they whaiting for that

OH YES, THIS IS SO GOOOD ! FLOTTE GREIAR SPOTIFY , IM SO HAPPY ! my plans are to go to narvesen or 7 eleven right now yes !

Guys, this sucks. It actually cost 99NOK for a spotify premium, but at my local Narvesen shop, it cost 199NOK... The f* is that?
