Spotify Premium now available at Pressbyrån and 7-Eleven

7elevenlogo.pngpressbyran.png

Starting today you’ll be able to purchase Spotify Premium months in over 500 Pressbyrån and 7-Eleven stores in Sweden. You can purchase either one, three, six or twelve months of Spotify Premium directly from the store counter, just like you would top-up a mobile or buy a train ticket.

You’ll receive a receipt that contains a code. Log into the Spotify website and enter that code on the premium purchase page and your account will be immediately upgraded so that you can start enjoying the benefits of a premium subscription.

Having in-store purchases is the first of many new payment options we plan to role out in the near future to make it as convenient as possible for you to subscribe to Spotify.

Note: A 5 SEK service charge will be added to the price.

great thing!!!

Oh great! But why are you keeping us in the dark!? Can't you see all the response you are getting in this blog? I don't wanna believe that you don't know when you appreciate the iphone app to be ready! Something.. come on. You don't even post any response to the blog comments anymore.

This is genius; I can now buy as a present this for my brother, well in theory, we are from the UK. Any plans on releasing this sort of thing over here? Or can we buy these over the internet and use them on our systems?

@imfralla - We know there is huge demand and I can assure you we're working night and day but unfortunately can't be more specific yet. @bamusbatisbarns - We're looking at all sorts of different ways (offline and online) to buy premium so stay tuned.

@andres - Finally. I appreciate your response. At least now I know it wont be any day soon. Relief that I don't have to check this blog or update the appstore for a couple of days. Thanks!

looking foward to buy premium via other ways in the uk

sweet, but we is the iphone app ? ^^

So, can you get the Android client at pressbyrån and/or 7-eleven? :) Did spotify make some kind of deal with Apple hushing anything regarding other clients than for the iPhone in order to make a big hype and sell more iPhones? Don't tell me you haven't seen all the people asking about the Android client.

I can bet my underwear that spotify app for Iphone is gonna be realased Fri 09-09-09 09:00....

@nissekula why not Fri 09-09-09 09:09? :)

Wow, imagine one day in a distant future being able to purchase this at 7 eleven and then start listening to Spotify on your Android phone.

Very nice idea, could see British retailers like HMV wanting a slice of the action too.

awesome, tobad 99kr/month = </3

@andres - Thank you for the response, can you please give just a glimpse of more details regarding the launch delay. Is it buggfixes, modification-desire from apple? Maybe some sort of estimated arrival time; within the week, 2 weeks, 1 month? We want the "revolution"!

hurray!! :-]

I've seen that you've been adding som new songs in without saying anything. But come on, Arctic Monkeys' Humbug is quite a big release!

@ frasze Honestly I do not see how you, or most other people, can look at 99kr/month for all-you-can-listen-to music as a lot. Even as a student this is more than affordable. Personally I bought Spotify before I even heard the first commercial, just to support this awesome application! *waiting in tension for iPhone app*

Hooray for Sweden (and yay for me!) I can has iPhone app now pls?

Hope to see other places to buy soon since we neither have 7-Eleven or Pressbyrån here. But great anyway!

I will pay for premium when the iPhone app is available AND works with 2g/3g.

Sorry, but it takes a lot more of you to get me to pay, for example bring back many of the albums and artists previously available. I´d pay even 150 then if I knew that would happen. Not only that you remove already available songs so it´s frustrating for me and others. This is not your fault either its the record companies. What happenned to the updates by the way, long time ago Keep up the good work though and may you guys be even more succesful in what you do :)

Hello, can you please take a look at the weird albums on Teddybears artist-page. http://open.spotify.com/artist/2qfze6v2h0uc0e2ABp7z3a

Hey, we want this in Spain!!! in the VIPS and the FNAC can be really great! Cheers and greetings for the app, waiting the Iphone App, if i could buy 12 months of spotify in some place instead internet can be really great, also some friends of mine would do premium too :D

music4everyone: There have been plenty of updates since the last one. They just haven't written about it. :) Check Spotinews to see some of todays additions.

det är ju toppen, då kan man ju köpa en sån där god yoghurtglass samtidigt

Great thing! Perfect that you can buy three months in a row. In that way I don't even need to register my VISA-card :) The optimal thing would be buying two iscold Fanta Lemon and a couple of months of Premium om Pressbyrån. That's magic!

Yay! Spotify always seem to come at this from a new and wonderful angle! Much love

I have to critize you.. 99 kr a month for spotify on the Iphone? come on!! that is way too expensive, seriously this is almost the same amount for spotify as it is for playing World of Warcraft. This is really pising me off, when someone finally creates something as awesome as spotify, you try to get 99 kr a month from us who wants it on the iphone? I am definately not alone meaning this, I can't describe how disappointed I became when I realized you try to take 99 kr a month for spotify on Iphone. SPOTIFY AWESOME DON'T SCREW IT UP PLEASE

Hmmm... I expected a 12 month sub to have some sort of discount.. what possible incentive is there to pay 12 months up front... I think the least that could be offered is a month of two free...??

@magnus-spotify: Get a grip lad. 99 kr is nothing.

Fully agree with @fewmanchu. @magnus-spotify really needs to get a grip and start mooching off his parents. 100SEK/month is absolutely nothing. You get much higher quality audio, you don't get ads, you get to listen to new albums ahead of time, AND you get the iPhone client. 100SEK isn't even a decent bottle of wine at Systembolaget, and it's 2-3 beers out on town. Per month. Maybe you should just go back to your beloved WoW and let the rest of us enjoy the music we listen to.

Where is this iPhone client that everybody is talking about?

@ magnus-spotify: I can't believe how cheap some people seem to be! Consider this: If you buy yourself a pair of 600SEK summer shoes and wear them for two summers (~2x100 days), then the mere wear-and-tear of those shoes will cost you about the same as you will pay for having millions of songs available 24/7, wherever you are. You can also buy two pints of beer/month at the nearest pub. Or, you can buy ONE low price CD/month, if that suits your interest better. 99SEK/month too expensive for this service? Get a grip, will you...

Great. I've been having trouble paying for premium here because of restrictions with your credit card policies, but this is a solution that works for me. Good to know this issue is being addressed.

Also, and I'm slightly embarrassed to do this but.... BONNIE PRINCE BILLY AND THE FIRST WOLF PARADE ALBUM NEED TO BE ADDED!

I think the same than magnus-spotify.

Is there any possibilities for this in Norway?

ynkey: My guess is that it will be at some time in the future.

Yeah this sounds good, how about making premium purchasable to the vast majority of people in the UK by offering Paypal (10 minutes to set up - even as a business) or Maestro payments?

Kan nån skicka en invite: ushilovs@gmail.com

No code input for Finnish users? Too bad. Would've been easy to drive over to Haparanda and stack up the premiums. .... still waiting for Paypal support then...

Well, the code input IS there, if you follow this link: http://www.spotify.com/gift-card How about clearing this out? Are users outside Sweden able to use the coupons sold in Pressbyrån?

Thanks people from Sweden for the great support! LosAntonMartins The best Spanish band of the moment. LosAntonMartin Rocks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQlj3V4fv0s www.losantonmartins.com

This is damn amazing. Also I wonder though, is it restricted to Swedish users? Also, I really really really hope this gets rolled out to other countries.

In-store purchaces to Finland please!

When will you self gift-cards again on the website? Is it possible to use a swedish gift card with a norwegian account?

I tried bying spotify premium at my local Pressbyrån and they didn't know anything about it. The idea's great but it seems like you could do a bettet job when it comes to information...

Would love to have this in 7-Eleven in Norway :D
