Hints & Tips – Your top list

Ever curious to see what track or artist you’ve recently been listening to the most? We’ve got a top list feature built-in which shows you what you’re currently digging. You can view your top ten tracks, albums and artists as well as the top hits in various different countries.

To see the top lists head to the Home page, then click on the Top lists tab. There you will see drop down menus where you can select various different views.

So kinda like last.fm but not as detailed. Neat!

Well yeah, full last.fm integration would be neat, instead of having to pay them.

Haha, burned!

Good feature!

Why is it that the currently 10th most popular track in Sweden (Fairytale by Alexander Rybak) is not available in Sweden if you try and play it? If the top lists are compiled using number of plays, how is it possible that a track that is not available in a certain region manages to get into the top 10 list?

@digithed - Looks like the version of that track that was available has been switched with a different copy (see below). So as the list updates the unavailable one will drop off the list and likely be replaced by the new one, as long as the song is still popular. http://open.spotify.com/track/3NPkqszuh2tWQZR2t7lcrh

Please, do something with playlists! The are unsearchable and generally inconvenient.

Please give us the opportunity to change the number of tracks displayed! http://getsatisfaction.com/spotify/topics/personal_top_list_change_the_number_of_items_showed

To see the top lists head to the Home page, then click on the Top lists tab. There you will see drop down menus where you can select various different views. Which home page?!??????????????????????

lassewan: In the Spotify player.

I'm using the french version of Spotify and at first I thought it didn't have this neat feature. It turns out that the feature is there but there is a translation error: the "for me" option has been translated by "mon pays", which means "my country". Also, the stats do not seem very accurate, for instance I'm pretty confident that I have listened to Neil Young much more than some of the artists in my top 10, yet he isn't even there.

well there is a my country option :P but cool feature... English and live in Norway cool to see uk chart ... Poker face ... bleh

Please add a repeat-one option to repeat only the song currently playing...

@andres - Thanks for the explanation. However, if the record labels keep requesting you to change the version of a track (for some crazy licensing reason no doubt that is irrelevant to me as a customer) then the top list becomes quite useless and does not represent the true popularity since the number of plays is spread across several versions instead of just one.

Nice feature ! =)

Have you tried the new feature? I just found it :D Mayby you know it, well well. Spotify now has the possibility to add a song you like to your facebok profile or to delicious. How? Right click a song->Share to->Facebook/Delicious You may need to download the newest Spotify version to get this feature :) Happy listening

I've had enough of Lady Gagagaagaaga.

The above trick also work on playlists :)

It would be great if you coulk se how many times you have played a track to.

Next time you add more songs. Please add Run Runaway - Slade

Hey! I wonder why Tamarama is not on Spotify? They are soo good! ;)

Nice! Could you add genre and year columns to track list? Sometimes it is just interesting, sometimes it really matters. As much as i know right now there is only one way to know it - read album or artist info.

Is this feature for premium users? Because it's not working with my Spotify :(

I've looked for it but I can't find find this feature! Can anyone help me?

Excellent! - still got a long way to go though!

(hed)p.e album "Only in America" is corrupted: spotify:album:0XIYMRWejnOkqMcgBbRL99 Didn't someone promise to include a proper error report system in the client quite a while ago?

Check out this excellent firefox 3 extension that puts a spotify icon on track names on webpages: https://addons.mozilla.org/sv-SE/firefox/addon/12299.

i want to get some songs onto my computer how do i do it or cant I

I wonder if it is possible to make all tracks available in sweden for this album? spotify:album:3pHctaN8UuwOm6wCTHafun Only 2 of them are playable in sweden for some reason and that is one of Accept's best albums...

How do I GET to the "home page"??

@andyhillier - Click the "Home" icon in the top left corner of Spotify.

Thanks. Never spotted that before!

When can you guys start posting tips and hints that I haven't seen before? :p

Nice feature to see you own top list. If it had worked. Unfortuntely it seems like the "Top list - for me" feature does not work properly. I have albums on my list that I have just played a couple of times and also miss albums on the list that I know I have played many times. I'm curious how the top list feature collects it's statistics, i.e. how it can be so inaccurate. Anyway; thanks for a great application!

Hi, I've been sharing ad membership with my sons, who're into contempory artists and some from their 'oldie' mother! They loved finding all the 'Star Wars' tracks and versions. My 11yr old is writing a rap, so I put him onto Will Smith et al. As for me, it's FAB to find classical music old and new and discover composers and soloists. Plus, I've enjoyed 'testing' the site with obscure artists/singles via my British Hit Singles book from 1992. Not everyone is in Spotify, but it's still fun. One feature I like immensely is the small list of 'Similar Artists' which comes up alongside what I'm listening to. This has introduced me to a growing list of bands/singers I didn't know previously. The additional Overview and Biography sections are great, and supplement what I might find on Wikipedia or similar sites. THANK YOU!! The Gadget Show highlighted you for my family and I've been spreading the word to friends who're heavily into music of all genres.

I've clicked Home-Top list- Changed so I can see my top list, "for me" but then there's nothing. Somebody know what's wrong?

Spotify top lists really sucks. I have had spotify for six months now and Flo Rida - Right round has been no 1 all the time for my country - Sweden. That's not very likely. Especially since it is not among the top 400 tracks at last.fm, which seems much more correct.

The "for me" top-list doesn't work... How come?

This dont work for me.. D:

It took me 15 minutes to find this feature. Some usability please :)

My Top Lists hasn't updated in over 2 months! Why? Spotify is pretty much the best thing ever. But please sort out little details like this, they make all the difference. If Apple ran a similar service, which you never know, they may one day do, all the little minor details like this would be perfect.

It doesnt work for me! I've found it, but it's empty.

yeah, same here! i've had the same list for about 4 months now. i haven't listened to jack penate (my number 1) since late may. please sort this out, as it's a great feature.

Doesn't work for me :/ same as for minutes92

Lmao, randomsongs came up for me that ive litsen to for like months ago. And a rap song came up?! wtf?! I HATE rap music!

Yes, please fix it, like "spaceshipsoverglasgow" said! peace

Does not work for me either. The list is empty when I choose "for me". Please fix or remove. Don't release features that does not work correct

These top lists does not update properly - which is never. Please fix this, it's pretty irritating.
