Sharing music with you friends through Spotify

Connecting Spotify to your Facebook account will enable you to share and discover new music through your friends.

As a new Spotify user, your social feature is already activated. If you created your Spotify account before the 22nd of September, you can activate it manually with just a few clicks.

Connect your existing Spotify account to Facebook

  • Click on ‘File’ and then on ‘Connect to Facebook’
  • Click on the blue ‘Log in with Facebook’ button
  • Wait until the log in has been successful and then close the window

Having your Spotify connected to your Facebook account will also make it possible to login to Spotify with your Facebook credentials.

Discover and share music from your friends

  • Click on ‘People’ in the left bar
  • Click on the ‘on Spotify’ tab in the top bar to view your Facebook friends who also use Spotify
  • Simply click on any of your friends’ profile picture to view their published playlists

Your Spotify Inbox

Your inbox is a great place for music. This is where you’ll receive all the music that’s been sent to you.

Here you can see who sent the music and when they sent it.

If there’s a speech bubble visible, then your friend has also added a personal message. Just click to read.
