Error: “An internal exception occurred”

This error can be caused either by download of a corrupt installer file, or by an incomplete installation. To solve this problem, please choose one of the options below:

• The error occurred when running the Spotify installer
• The error occurred after installation had completed, when running Spotify.

The error occurred when running the Spotify installer

The Spotify installer has become corrupted whilst downloading. A fresh installer file is needed. First, delete the installer file that you have downloaded. Then, since your web browser may have cached the download, so it is best to either:

1. clear your web browser’s cache before downloading again.

2. or use a different web browser for the download

Now download a fresh installer file from the Spotify website.
