App of the Day: Last.fm
We’ve been big fans of Last.fm for years, so we couldn’t be happier to see the fantastic Last.fm app inside Spotify. Now it’s easier than ever to explore and expand your music library with some great personalized recommendations.
What is Last.fm?
It’s a music recommendation service that effortlessly keeps a record of what you listen to (a term the Last.fm team calls scrobbling) and suggests more music based on your tastes.
So, by simply listening to your favourite tunes on Spotify, Last.fm will help you discover more great music. Plus highlight the tracks and albums you just can’t get enough of.

Good app, but for me, my favorite 3 apps got to be: Soundrop, TuneWiki and Moodagent. These are very creative apps that make the use of Spotify so much fun!
It would actually be good if the Last.fm team was aware of the countries where Spotify is available and not leave the users of thoses countries (even paying subscribers of Last.fm) with a frustrating "We haven't any recommandations for you yet". Even with 35K scrobbles... They're addressing the problem. This congratulating post comes a little early for some of us.

how can a not working app (don't know if it works in any country) be the app of the day? at the moment it's crap (for austrian customers).
The last.fm app works a treat in the UK (sorry for those it doesn't work for), and is the best app so far, as to be expected from the phenomenal last.fm team. Still, it helpfully recommends me some prog rock and classical aslbums that WOULD BE great, if only Spotify played the GAPLESSLY. I will NOT stop bringing this topic up. Spotify is a music player, and many, many music albums are written to play without gaps. This ridiculous situation cannot continue!

What happened to the last.fm app on the updated spotify??? Previously you could drag a song onto the app and last.fm would create a playlist for you. Please bring back the option.
