We love a musical collaboration! That’s why we’re so excited to announce that Virgin Media has launched a range of new offers for broadband and mobile, which include a Spotify Premium subscription.
The new bundles will allow customers to enjoy our catalogue of millions of tracks on their computers, their mobile devices or through the exclusive Spotify app on Virgin Media’s brilliant TiVo powered digital TV service.
New or re-contracting customers choosing Virgin Media’s fibre optic broadband service will be able to enjoy Spotify Premium at no additional cost for six months as part of their bundle.
For Virgin Media broadband customers taking a new pay monthly Virgin Mobile contract, Virgin Media will include a three-month Spotify Premium subscription as part of their service.
Customers new to Spotify, as well as those already with Spotify accounts, will be able to redeem the offers of a three- or six-month extension to their current subscription for no extra cost.
You can also enjoy a range of exclusive content through a new ‘VM Music’ tab in Spotify.
To celebrate this great new double act, Virgin Media have put together a wonderful “Duets” playlist for you to enjoy.

why cant existing customers get this i have 30mg BB but cant get the free 6 month premium account
i have the same problem, i phoned virgin media they could not understand were they have gone wrong, i have 30 mb BB too and half way through min 12 month contract, why should i have to sign up to a new 12 month contract how does that make the offer free, another stab in the back to virgin customers
I have a TiVO, the 50MB connection and the XL TV package and I've been a VM user since they were NTL. C'mon Richard, don't I deserve the Spotify Premium goodness too...?
I am the same been with them 25 years and we only get things if we take another 12 month contract. after you have been with them so long you should be able to get things added like new customers. and if you want to leave you shouldn't have to wait until the end of the contract or pay to get out of it. its a rip off all the rules. anyone got spotify added for free please post and let us all know.
The same as above-with virgin since ntl so thank you virgin for being loyal to me...............and having spotify premium as my wish only
I too have been with Virgin for years. I upgraded to 30Mb BB during the summer and as soon as the Spotify App goes live for Tivo I'll happily extend my contract and resign for another 12 months, this is the best deal out there, so why not!
Usual shitty raw deal from Virgin for existing subscribers. Same with the Blackberry offer for media customers signing up for new moblie contract. Once they've got you signed up they don't give a stuff. Bit of a short sighted tactic when contract renewals are due. I'll certainly be going elsewhere. I presujme the six months free offer is made in the hope that people will subscribe thereafter so why restrict it to new customers or upgrades? David Liddell
Existing customers just have to resign their contract (30Mb or higher I think) so not restricted to new or upgrading customers and after 6 months it defaults to the spotify free service but I agree I'm sure they hope you'll keep the paid for service when the free period ends. I don't know what the Crackberry deal was its not a phone I'm interested in.
Signed up for Virgin XL Broadband about 1 month ago, let me have Spotify, without any hassle
I am in the middle of a contract. Just filled the online form in and waited for it to be approved. Got 6 monthr free, and as an existing Spotify premium user, just entered the code and showed my next payment wasnt due until march 2012.
this is awfull i cannot redeem a 3 month premium when bought a virgin phone tried for 2 days now what a swizz think this is very poor
Total waste of time. Takes for ever to load, then the TiVo box crashers. Its basically a brick. I was told by Virgin Media its down to capacity and if I could keep it down to less the 300 tracks it would help, how ridiculous, I have about 100 play lists and 20,000 tracks. I would have to delete them all and only have access 300 tracks on my computer, phone and iPod touch. So I will stay with listening to Spotify on these devises. I have my iPod touch connected to my sound system which gives me instant access to all my play list, sweet.
I love Spotify! I downgraded my existing Spotify account (as Virginmedia says to) but the instructions on how to sign up using my XXL broadband account simply don't match the reality. It can't be done. "dad why don't we have spotify anymore?"
It does work I have just done it, open spotify, cancell your payment options to spotify . Then sign in to virgin media go to apps/ spotify/ then use the second option.
