This hasn't worked for me. I have an Iphone 4 with a 3 One Plan contract. The 3 web site you mention above tells me I can "get Spotify Premium free for ***two*** months..." I have an existing Spotify premium account , but I haven't been able to register for any free period, either 3 or 6 months... How do I take advantage of the 6 months free offer?? Please let me know! I should add that I'm an enthusiastic Spotify user. I stream music via my Iphone to my hifi system thanks to an Apple Airport Express linked to the hifi... Fantastic!!

 
 

Hey Dave, it depends which phone you have. The HTC desire HD comes with a 6 month free subscription, other phones come with 2 months free. The offer is only open to users who don't already have a subscription - so why not sign up your friend or relative! :)

 
 

Hi my other half has just text the number from her iPhone4 to the short code and is on the 3 network and has not heard anything back yet. She has also tried the alternative number for 2 months found on the FAQ article you linked to from this blog post. Is there a problem with this offer at the minute? Thanks, Warren

I've just tried on my partners iPhone 4 and txtd both numbers. Like dave.brill, I haven't been given the option for anything free and still waiting for a reply from the 2nd number. I'm a bit cheesed off as I was looking forward to evaluating the service before I decide to upgrade to premium. Boo Spotify & 3!!

Doesn't work. The numbers don't match up on this post and on the 3Mobile website, Here says to text to 87000, Threes website says 39000. plus here claims 6months, 3 say 2 months. I text both numbers, no reply from here, but the 3s text doesn't give me any link to sign up. Sort it out.

RSVP SPOTIFY TEAM: is there any truth in pattern89's claim above to free Spotify for the length of contract, or is this just a wind-up? If the latter, I suggest this post is deleted. If it's true, I want it too!! Please let us know, ind how to get it! I did eventually manage to get 2 months free, but it was a long and tedious business involving difficult phone calls with staff who gave conflicting info. I had to open a new Spotify account and I guess I'll have to close it before the expiry of the offer to avoid being charged. Any feedback or helpful information about this confusing and time wasting offer would be appreciated. Thanks!

This is so frustrating and totally unclear as to how it works. Do I have to upgrade to a Premium account and then I just wont be charged for the first 2 months (or 6 months?? Its TOTALLY unclear as to which it actually is as Three and Spotify are saying different things! SORT IT OUT!!) I can log into Spotify on my phone but cant actually play any music even if I sync with my Wi-fi. HELP PLEASE SPOTIFY, maybe actually say something....?

As a previous customer of Spotify's most expensive Premium Plan, I have to say that I am beyond disgusted. So many offers and free subscriptions for new customers only, what about your customers who were loyal to you from the beginning? We get nothing at all. This is why I have cancelled my subcription months ago and have no intentions of ever re-purchasing a Spotify subscription. You need to seriously rethink your business strategies, I am sure many other loyal customers are in the same boat as myself, and you are going to lose a LOT of business this way.

Looks like the way it works is any time you listen to spotify it takes the time off your 3 mobile internet data allowance. given that the 3 internet isn't actually unlimited (its about 1000mb) then you could run over your allowance depending on how much you listen. However I sometimes listen to spotify through my PC so what I want to know is what happens if you listen to your premium account using your PC? Is this still taken from your 3 data allowance?

I have an iPhone 4 on "The One Plan", and now have Spotify Premium, free for the next 24 months. For those who are having problems, here's what I did: - Text Spotify to 39000, receive text back almost instantly - Follow link on the text to Spotify/Three mobile web page (be sure to be connected by 3G and not WiFi, as the link will not work correctly otherwise - Click on the 'Get Spotify now' (or something similar) link/s - Choose either new, or existing customer - I'm an existing customer so I didn't have to sign up, but if you're not, enter the necessary details - That should be it! If you happen to be on the same plan and have the same phone as me, a link to the app in the App Store is presented, follow this and log in with username/password, and you'll have Spotify Premium for the life of your contract. Sweet.

I'm not on the One Plan so it requires me to purchase an Internet Max addon. I'm quite capable of monitoring my usage to avoid problems, but apparently I have to give Three more money in order to get the free offer. BZZT.

Hi, I also signed up to what was promoted as: "Your Spotify Premium subscription (RRP £9.99 a month) is included as part of your price plan for the entire length of your contract" Which is / was fantastic, after 2 months I've now received a message advising that my term is coming to an end. I'm having difficulty getting any info from Three, has anybody else had any better success? I love Spotify and it would be shame to lose it! Thanks

 
 

Yes i also got a text from the after they told me it was for the life of my contract...how unfair. I called them to sort it out and no one seemed to have a clue about the deal, they said i would need proof of the original message about me having free spotify for the rest of my contract which i dont becuase I have a new iphone!! Does anyone remembers how they were told about the free spotif for the rest of the contract deal, i dont remember if it was in an app, an email or sms!

Same thing happened to me last week! The info about the life of the contract came through by text msg, however I can't find it on my phone so have no evidence to support this either. But clearly with the amount of claims and with the free spotify advertisements plan managers don't appear to know what the left hands doing from the right!

Although, last Wednesday I received an SMS advising: "FROM 3: We're sorting out your billing issue right now. We'll be in touch in the next 5 working days, so there's no need to call us. I was expecting two months free but I'm already a subscriber, no problem expected as the web CLEARLY says that the the two months can be added to a current subscription but there are only options to create a new account or upgrade an existing one, I tried the upgrade option but that doesn't work as I'm already a premium subscriber! I tried customer service who suggested I create a new account!! (like what use are to concurrent premium accounts??) After jumping through all the usual customer service hoops the guy finally gave up (that's a first, usually it's me that gives up swimming through Three's customer service treacle) and sent me off to the nearest 3 Store!! Who, incidentally, were as bemused as me - so, a couple of hours of my life I'll never get back and no free Spotify either, I "could" email three but no doubt I'll get another call from customer (dis)service and be expected to repeat the whole sorry performance, I'm suspecting that trading standards are the only way to go on this one!

I signed up for the deal and got the screen that nickwaind screen grabbed (nice move btw!) Was hoping to find evidence that they did offer it for the length of my contract but cant find a confirmation email or text anywhere. On my last bill I've been charged for the premium service without warning. I called 3 customer services and the guy had the gall to suggest I be back charged for the months over the original 2 months. I feel cheated because I've been going around encouraging friends and family to take up what I thought was a great offer. Shoddy in the extreme! I'm now biding my time until my 3 contract expires and will go to Giff Gaff!!

 
 

Here we go again. So Three sorted out my Subscription and agreed to honour the length of contract subscription as per the deal I signed up to: http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc405/memorphed/spotify.jpg Last week, I get a text message stating that my subscription will shortly expire, today, my account has expired and I have had to renew by PayPal despite Three assuring me that I wouldn't be charged in no less than 3 phone calls since Friday. I do love Spotify and I'm far from moaning about their service, I just wish that Three would have a clue about the offers that they have. Whilst being bounced around their call centre, there are only a handful of advisers who actually know what Spotify is!!

 
 

Can't it just be, you text the number to the phone.. they say yes you are eligible for ___ months of spotify premium and give you a code.. because from these comments it seems a long winded process and is putting me off
