Spotify exclusive – Dry The River Live at Bush Hall

Dry The River Live at Bush Hall EP, is released exclusively to Spotify today, and is taken from their sell-out London show at Bush Hall on May 25th 2011.

Since 2009 “Dry the River” have lived and worked in their east London house, an ideal set–up, allowing them the freedom to work when they like. Musically the back-history is highly intriguing, with the band citing an esoteric list of influences - Leonard Cohen, At The Drive-In, Neil Young, Arlo Guthrie, Neutral Milk Hotel , Bruce Springsteen and Devendra Banhart.

After being offered a publishing deal by Transgressive in late 2010 (Foals, Mystery Jets, Graham Coxon) the band released their first single ‘proper’ earlier this year via the Transgressive label. New Ceremony was released in March and saw the band pick up support from Radio 1, 6Music, NME, XFM, The Fly, Sunday Times and Clash. Produced by James Kenosha, the limited 7” sold-out on pre-order.

Early 2011 saw the band play some rapturously received shows at the SxSW festival in Austin, Texas (hailed by NME as one of the highlights of the week), headline this Bush Hall show and begin recording their debut album, due for release in 2012, with Peter Katis (The National, Interpol) in his Connecticut home-studio.

The band play over 40 festivals around the globe this summer 2011 including Glastonbury, Hop Farm, iTunes Festival, Reading & Leeds, Lovebox, Bestival and many many more.
