Long established as one of the world’s most incendiary live bands, Biffy Clyro will document last year’s landmark show at Wembley Arena by releasing their first ever live album and DVD ‘Revolutions // Live At Wembley’ on June 27th on 14th Floor Records.
Recorded on December 4th 2010, the live album celebrates the band’s career to date includes songs ranging from fan favourite ‘57’ which originally featured on their debut EP right up to the present day with performances of all of the singles taken from their all-conquering album ‘Only Revolutions’. Harking back to the classic live albums of the Seventies, the 90-minute set includes numerous other classics from their back catalogue including ‘Saturday Superhouse’, ‘Folding Stars’ and ‘Glitter and Trauma’.
The release of the album caps an already hectic summer for Biffy Clyro. Their summer live dates include festival headline sets at Sonisphere (July 9th) and Wakestock (July 10th), a main stage set at Glastonbury (June 24th) and two shows as special guests to Foo Fighters at the Milton Keynes National Bowl on July 2nd and 3rd. Biffy Clyro won Best Live Band at this year’s NME Awards, Best Video for ‘The Captain’ at both the NME and Kerrang! Awards, and were also nominated for two Q Awards and also earned the first ever Brit and Mercury Prize nominations.
