Nice! Going to check it out right now! But when is a iPad app coming?? I just bought my iPad 2 and I sure would like an great spotify app for it!

Nice update, love it :)

Awesome, though I still miss folders for playlists.

If I download this new app, does that mean that I have to download all my offline playlists AGAIN???

Playlists still on the phone, awsum update. Love the quick-start!

nice changes however the one thing i would say about the Spotify iOS app is that there isn’t really a great way to discover *new* music (like the desktop app which has Radio and friends playlists you can view and listen to. It would be great if these features could make their way into the iOS app. One thing that is a bit off on the new design changes is how locally stored songs that have been wifi synced are in italics. They’ve already got the music note symbol next to them to denote this, it makes the whole thing look odd. Great job though!

Nice to see that the client still gets updates but as dusser pointed out, folders for playlists would be awesome and also a dedicated GUI for the iPad (showing album covers in full screen when playing would make it look really sweet standing beside my stereo).

Thanks for this update and keep up the good work. iPad version is at the very top of my wishlist - can u tell when it's ready?

Why are some local files in italic and some not?

Why can't we have a search facility for Tracy, album, artist. A real pain having to scroll through 100's of songs. Please add this facility like sonos GUI.

Great update, nice to see development is still going on for my favorite music platform. I'm missing my friends playlists when I'm on my iPhone, like mentioned before. And even though I only use Spotify to play music in the background on my iPad, I would love for more iPad friendly UI - it could easily be a desktop "look-a-lot-alike" thing.

That should have been track album and artist

No Airplay support?

@mikemary: Scroll to the top of the playlist to filter the playlist by any text string @neil_jordan: AirPlay is available as a button next to the volume control under (i) on the now playing screen when an AirPlay compatible device is in the vicinity.

Nice update. Missing the queue function on this. i love browsing lists and put songs in queue to listen to differnt music all the time. Also missing to arrange list by album, artist, track etc. That should be implemented! Dispite that i love the new loading time, and the new gui. top noch!

Interesting update. I'm not quite sure I prefer the new theme, but it's allright. However, I was waiting for only two features : playlists files and smart radios. With these features, Spotify for iPhone will be tremendous !

Nice, but where is the queue functionality? It exists on the android version but not on the iOS version.

Loving the new theme! But I too am missing a feature to arrange a playlist by artist, track etc. and a queue-function.

Playlist folders! How could you miss it in this update. REALLY needed. Now.

Nice update, i agree about the Queue function..thats the thing i miss the most on the phone.

This is not really any improvements at all. When can we see an iPad app and the ability to queue songs? At least open up your APIs, letting great software like Spot-Remote implement queuing.

Awesome! Good to see the iOS version is not left alone. Gonna download it the second I get home. Have to agree on a few of the replies here, I'm really missing the "queue" button and arranging the playlists by Artist. Looking forward to the next update! ^^

Bad update for me (iPhone 4 / iOS 4.3.1) : the app keeps on crashing at the opening. It is the same behaviour on every Android device I tried up to now. What is wrong with my account ? (it was OK with previous iOS versions, I use it every day) Thanx for your help.

Nice update, but why the iPad support is still missing. While changing the UI you could have also added the universal support. Basic universal support needs just couple mouse clicks in Interface builder.. Removing the offline button from the playlist page is excellent change. I have lost all synced music abroad several times because my friends though that the Offline button was a way to listen offline music.

Thanks for the update! Remember to check out requests at Getsatisfaction! Like this one http://getsatisfaction.com/spotify/topics/favorite_artist_alerts

@niniouz same problem here!!! bad update...

I am also missing the "queue" button, and it should be possible to add a song to an existing playlist without having to play the song. Often I'm listening to a playlist and want to add a song to the list and continue listening to that list (Without stopping and starting).

This new version kept crashing on launch, restarting & hard reset didn't help. But deleting the app and reinstalling it did. Yes that means downloading offline playlists again.

When will the Spotify iPad App be appearing on the app store? Also, I have to agree that the queue feature should be there. It's a simple feature that should be on the Spotify iOS app.

How hard is it to add folders to the iOS app? Dont meen to sound ungrateful; you guys provide an awesome service. I just got really excited when I saw this update and then suffered a gruesome anticlimax when I realised you didn't implement the only feature that removes the debilitatingly slow method of scrolling through each and every one of my playlists.

Thanks for the update! I'd still love to get the Top 5 tracks of artists like in the desktop version. I use these lists constantly to get to know to new artists without having to browse though their whole discography.

Just downloaded the update & lost all my offline playlists!!! Does this really mean I have to spend another week synching all my music to my phone?!!

I can not change the order of playlists, agg! :( Still have much to do.

Thanx @yourfrontdoor and @thepeter for having confirmed my issue. Not happy at all to need to sync again my offline playlists. I have no WiFi during the day and my local files are lost because my PC is not always in my pocket (this is why I use Spotify Mobile). Is it possible to get a refund when such problems occur ?

@niniouz: Wierd, I have a hefty collection of offline playlists and did not loose a single track.

Playlist folders!!!!! Please.

Looking good! Exept the "now playing" button with is a little over shaded ;) I guess we can expect a redesign of the desktop client aswell? Check out my CSS3 version of it http://anton.trollback.se/spotify/

@niniouz: Contact Spotify directly here http://is.gd/qO0qtf and ask them if you can get a refund, no other than those people can answer that.

LISTEN!!!!!!!!!! Please fix a equaizler built IN Spotify for Iphone!!!!!!!! Or fix a Spotify equaizler app for better personal sound!!!!!!!! And please fix the whole library of Spotifymusic in Iphone!!!!!! Make the same possibility like it is on Spotify on the computer!!!!!!! Many people would LIKE that!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure I understand the local files playlist - is this supposed to replace the iPod integration? I realise that didn't work too well, but this doesn't seem to be the answer unless I am misunderstanding it's purpose. So all of my "made available offline" playlists are still synced to my phone, but the local files playlist is empty, yet there are plenty of songs on my iphone that are also available on Spotify - so what is it's use?

Hello , We're in the IPad 2 era and still no IPad app.. I thought Spotify was leading the way in the music tech world.

Looks and feels good! One thing that I dont like is that in play view the "back" button is replaced with the hide-button, and it's on the wrong side from navigation perspective. The problem this creates is that it's harder to navigate back to playlist, because in the playlist view the same functionality is on the left top corner, in the play mode it's reversed (in the right top corner). Sounds like a small thing, but I use the mobile version in my car while driving and I know this will be more confusing :) Thanks for the update!

Great update, look fine in Spanish :) ... but... i need an iPad specific version.

iPAD app please :-)

It's nice to see an update but they are coming far to slooooow! iPAD now been out a year and we are all still waiting for an iPAD app.

Looks great, but I have to get used to spotify not changing colour when you are offline/online. The phrase "Spotiyfy is in offline mode" on the top of the screen isn't that visible.

It's clear by now they aren't going to make an iPad version for reasons they aren't willing to reveal. Im looking for an alternative for my iPad and will be jumping ship as soon as one comes along. Great on the phone but ugly and embarrassing on the iPad.

Feature Requests: = Playlist Folders = (Better) use of Album Art for browsing my playlists. eg. a more flexible Cover Flow, so in the context of the playlist that is currently selected. = Support for album tracks to follow each other instantly - no 1 second pauses between tracks. = Universal app for iPad! = Remote Control of desktop Spotify apps on same Wi-Fi network :-) Peace & Love

We need an ipad version of spotify!

So, how about that iPad version then?
