Spotify in the Palm of your hand

We’re always looking for new ways to make Spotify available to as many music fans as possible, so today we’re really excited to announce that Spotify Mobile is launching on Palm’s smartphones.

If you’re using either a Palm Pre or Pixi phone running webOS then you can download Spotify from the webOS app store now, giving you all the great features you’ve come to expect from our mobile apps.

The full feature set for Spotify on Palm smartphones includes:

  • Search, browse & play millions of tracks
  • Offline playlists – listen to music with no mobile connection
  • Wirelessly sync your local files to your phone
  • View your friends’ top lists and see what playlists they’ve created
  • Send & receive music from friends via the inbox
  • Share music via Facebook, email and messaging
  • Create, sync and edit playlists
  • LastFM scrobbling

As with all of our Spotify Mobile apps a premium subscription is required. So if you’re a Palm user there’s no better time than now to upgrade.

Enjoy!

And still no response to any of the thousands that are screaming for a Blackberry client..

(another scream) BLACKBERRYYYY !!!! PLEASE !!!

Thanks for this, I have had a Spotify free account for a while which has sat dormant. Having a mobile client for my phone of choice has not only gained you a premium subscriber but reawakened my interest in Spotify as a whole.

Windows Mobile!!! And please don't just focus on the Windows 7 phones - ALL Windows Mobiles please.

@benjopegs - Spotify is available on Windows mobiles. http://www.spotify.com/mobile/windowsphone/

¿Cuándo para dispositivos BlackBerry? Gracias!

Très bonne nouvelle ! Merci !

Why do you advertise it???? I have a premium account... but it does't run... My Palm says. "This application is not available in your country"

baulchen - What country is your Palm registered in? Spotify is only available on Palm for users in our 7 launch countries.

It's registered in Germany. And there is only one requirement: -->> As with all of our Spotify Mobile apps a premium subscription is required. So if you’re a Palm user there’s no better time than now to upgrade. <<--

Nice! Still hoping for N900 release though.

OMG, Palm but not Blackberry!!! Is this a joke?

This sweet, i fell out of love with spotify for a while when i didn't have a mobile app, then got an ipod and switched to itunes as my choice of place for music, but can now go back to spotify with my files and the thousands avalible, I will see how long I can keep up the sub for :)

Seriously, I don't get it. How comes you people develop a Palm application BEFORE a Blackberry one ??

please, iphone, not palmphones!!

Woo Hoo ! Thank you Spotify Team and Palm .... now I'll walk into even more lamp posts !

Great news! Always expanding. Don't forget the feedback! Thanks! http://getsatisfaction.com/spotify/topics/favorite_artist_alerts

Oh dear, if I would still have my Palm Pre.

The WebOS App is not registered for all countries in the App Catalogue. This means that I cannot install it in The Netherlands. Please fix.

This is great, but I've literally just switched over from an Unlimited subscription to the Zune Pass now that it's available in the UK (I have an imported Zune HD). I'd still love to have Spotify on my Pre though, if it were a couple of quid cheaper per month I'd probably be tempted to get a Premium account for the sake of it.

This made me upgrade to Premium - thanks! next on my list - Genius style playlists....

I'm having real problems logging in on my Pre, as in I can't. Just says: "Unable to login (404). Try again." Any help?

Why is it not available in Norway ? It should have been available where Spotify is available.

BlackBerry PLEASE!!!! I can't take my Sonos with me, so I may as well go to Napster for half the price.

Blackberry!!!!! Please!!!

i can only like spoify i find everyting i am looking fore mostely 60-75 mucic

It is good to see I am not alone asking for the Blackberry app :P I am even thinking about begging for it... :P

Please add samsung s8000/ Jet. Fill my heart with hapiness.

Spotify, thank you for this awesome application for my Palm Pre. And guys, why don't you test a Palm WebOs device? I reccomend you. It's the best, simple and beatiful multitask OS in the word.

HELLO BLACKBERRY???? whats the problem?

Off topic; What's up with Agnes Carlsson albulms? "A Gömb" aint Agnes... rofl

Definetly going to get the Pixi tomorrow now! Thanks Spotify!!

Now all we need is the iPad-app :)

Nice, could you please do a native client for linux I.e Ubuntu too? Today i run it in wine but would like to have it native...

@sunkan76 - we have a Preview version of Linux if you're interested. http://www.spotify.com/download/previews/

Oh yes, Palm, as they are everywhere aren't they? I can't get out of my front door for stumbling over rabid Palm users, rejoicing at getting Spotify for their devices... WHERE THE FUDGE IS A BLACKBERRY APP? And don't you dare just release an BBOS6 version ignoring the millions still stuck on BBOS5...

All the phone apps are useless unless Spotify decide to implement folers on them....My Spotify iPhone looks a bloody mess now.....SORT IT OUT as I am falling out of love with Spotify because of it!

Does anyone know if Spotify is going to be available on the Samsung Wave?

Is there a reason why you can't get Spotify for Blackberry?? Spotify must be losing a potential fortune. I don't think I've ever seen a Palm in the wild. Blackberries seem to be everywhere.

Thanks everyone for all your hard work.I love my palm pre, the operating system knocks spots off anything else I have tried. The multitasking cards just work. Thanks again. I know it is a leap of faith on your part but with HP providing the hardware I think WEB OS is going to be around for a long time.

I agree with... a lot of people! Blackberry is, probably, and together with iPhone, the most popular smartphone in the whole world. Could you please give an explanation to all the BB users who are waiting for our application?? seriously, whats the problem?

I am so sad, I pay for spotify, living in both france and usa and I can't download spotify on my palm pre even if i pay spotify every month. Please fix it.

Good but... I'm still looking for the N900 application though... It could not take that long time to get that working now!

hi, i am just want an answer. will spotify make an ipad app? pls respond, i have premium. hej, jag vill gärna ha ett svar, kommer spotify (ni) göra en ipad app och när i sånna fall? det skulle kunna se ut som desktop versionen!

"in the palm of your hand"!!! How about for free software without needing to buy a premium account!!! Yet another capitalist music distributor without an eye on the future. The future is from a free software base like UBUNTU LINUX and not the Microsoft or Mac of the world. I'm afraid your ethos, principles and logic in developing mobile platforms before home free software will fail you. DJ JLEE
