Spotify is insanely slow on the iPhone 3G running iOS 4. 20 second startup time. Dealbreaker. :/ Are you only doing development regarding the 3GS or newer devices more iOS 4-capable?

@johnkors I think that's Apple's problem, many app, and the iOS4 itself, is slow on iPhone 3G and iPod 2nd gen. It's sad that Apple didn't warn the users beforehand, and they also makes it very hard to switch back to 3.2. and... for the classical music lovers out there, check out http://www.spotifyclassical.com/ for classical playlists:)

This is a good update - but the SMS link should really use a short url such as j.mp or something - otherwise the other person has a real hard job of finding the song (unless they have a smartphone).

Good update (I guess), but I am unsure why your updates don't focus on improving what so many people WANT to see from the app? IE - sorting playlists/tracks alphabetically, and related issues like that? Instead you just seem to be adding functions that most will find fairly useless, like the spotify twitter feed and SMS playlist sending. Not sure why you're not focussing primarily on the usability, rather than adding external gadgets to it.

Great, I would like to see some more options for single tracks tough. Today there is for example no way to add a single track to a playlist without starting the song first. I think you can do it even more straight forward than today: Add a "plus-icon" next to the albums AND on single tracks that brings up a context meny containing Queue, Add to playlist, star song/album, share song/album, etc. So that you only have shuffle and "plus/more". This would leave you with a clean, functional and consequent UI, I think.
@johnkors & @ulyssestone: I'm currently running the iOS 4.1 beta2 on my 3G, and just clocked the startuptime for the spotify app in at 10 seconds, so the problem is likely with iOS 4.0/4.1. Overall, iOS 4.1 brings some quite noticeable performance improvements to the 3G compared to iOS 4 (and I agree that iOS 4 is real slow).
And by the way, the feature I would most like to see in the next version is a play queue! (sorry for double-post)

I agree with jackdaniel, you shouldn't have to start a song to add it to a playlist.
Please, please, please leave all the extra bits for now and focus on core functionality. Navigation of offline songs/playlists is poor. No option to filter/sort/search songs overall by artist/album/track. The individual playlist searches just don't cut it. Why is the search tab completely redundant offline?
I'm adding my recurring vote on the sadly missing Queue function. I'm sure you will fix it for the next update, right?

Nice to get an update, so thanks for that. My wish is for my last.fm scrobbles to queue up when I'm out for the day with no net access and upload next time I'm online, even if I've quit the app in the meantime. No idea if it's even possible, but I miss my listening stats on last.fm and use spotify 95% in offline mode.
Great to see the team putting out regular updates. Please can you bring back the 'edit playlists' option. It was there before the last update - the ability to edit and reorder playlists really is invaluable. One of your guys suggested you were looking to bring it back...please do!!!

Thanks for the update guys! Have an idea that you may or may not be able to do, but I think it would be awesome if you could. Recently I downloaded the iTunes Remote app that lets you control the music playing on your computer with the iPhone, Ultimate lazy I know but pretty sweet! :) Wondered if you would be able to make a Spotify Remote app that works kind of the same. Would be awesome!!

The New versión is not working. Now multitasking is dead and you cannot control the music with the headphones remote bottom. All this was working yesterday. Now if I go to another app the music stops. Also you should allow to organize playlist from iPhone I'm running 3GS with ios 4
After going live and restarting the iPhone suddenly it is back to normal and working on background and with the controls of the headphone

OMG?! Why are you updating iphones spotify when you have not even finished the windows mobile version?? How hard can it be to make spotify for windows mobile? It shouldn't take more than a week!!! Some people have even made their own unofficial version because they are sick and tired of waiting for you lazy asses to make an official app. Unfortunately they disabled it because you should "soon" make an official one, so where is it???
I'm running this on 2G Touch with iOS 4.0.2. The Spotify application systematically crashes after 3-4 songs. Going completely offline helps but that is not what I pay my premium fee for. Please fix a.s.a.p.
