When you have created an account, you can download and begin using Spotify.
You need Mac OS X 10.4.0 or later, as well as a broadband Internet connection. We also provide a Windows version.
Please click the Download button below to download Spotify for Mac OS X.
Open the file you downloaded and allow Spotify to move itself to the Applications folder. That’s it!
Spotify will ask you if you want to move it to the applications folder, it’s a good idea to do this. Simply ‘Move to applications’ and you’re done. You may have to enter your administrator’s password to do it.
After installing or updating, Spotify will ask you for access to your Keychain. This is entirely optional and only relevant if you want your username and password to be stored until next time.
If you are unable to move Spotify, don’t worry – Spotify can run from the Downloads folder as well, or you can manually move it to any location on your computer. If you have other problems with installing Spotify for Mac, begin by checking out our service status to see if there are any relevant known problems with Spotify. You are also welcome to join our community-powered support where we have setup a discussion thread about Mac installation troubleshooting.
