Spotify launches on Nokia & more

• Spotify’s Symbian mobile app opens up a world of music to Nokia smartphones

• Symbian covers over 50% of the global smartphone market

• Premium subscribers can download the application directly to their mobiles by visiting m.spotify.com

Spotify today launches its Symbian music application for Nokia and other smartphones, as the music service opens its mobile offering up to a huge new audience.

Many of the world’s best-selling phones run on the Symbian* platform, with Spotify’s latest mobile application supporting a wide range of mid-to-high end Nokia smartphones, including the popular Nokia 6220 Classic, E71 and 5800 XpressMusic models.

The app will also run on a selection of Sony Ericsson and Samsung smartphones running the Symbian platform, such as the Samsung GT-I8910 Omnia HD and Sony Ericsson Satio.**

Spotify’s arrival on the Symbian platform, which has a global share of over 50% of all the world’s smartphones, follows Spotify’s launch on both the iPhone and Android-powered phones in September.

To get Spotify’s Symbian application, music fans can either download it directly to their phones by visiting m.spotify.com through their mobile web browser, or by entering their phone number on our new Symbian information page to receive instructions via an SMS.

• Continue to run Spotify in the background while texting, making calls, web browsing etc
• Playlists can be downloaded and played in offline mode when you have no connection, are on a plane or underground, or abroad
• Search and stream music instantly. Browse by artist, title or album
• Listen Create and synchronise playlists. Updates from the desktop application will be synced instantly and vice versa
• Listen to tracks and albums in their entirety. Rewind, fast-forward, pause, skip and shuffle

Spotify Mobile is available to Spotify Premium subscribers in the UK, Spain, France, Sweden, Norway and Finland. Additional Spotify Premium features include higher sound quality, offline computer mode, travel access and no ads.
