Interaction Designer

musical instrument in a computer We want to connect millions of people with their favorite songs and create a service that people love to use. We believe music should be easily accessible and that listening to music will make people live richer lives. We want to create a win-win situation for people who love listening to music and people who love creating music.

We’re now looking for an exceptional interaction designer who will be responsible for the user experience and interaction design of all Spotify’s products.

At Spotify we think of design as a science and we’re looking for someone who is an avid advocate of user-centered design. You’ll help us make Spotify as intuitive as possible and take part in changing the way people listen to music forever. You’ll be working with a world-class team of engineers who are passionate about what they do – and we expect no less from you. Preferably you’re located in (or willing to relocate to) Stockholm in Sweden.

A degree in human computer interaction (HCI) or computer science is a plus, but not required. You should have previous experience designing interfaces for different operating systems, but it doesn’t have to be job experience. If you’re the one we’re looking for, you probably have a couple of hobby projects that you want to show us anyway.

You’ll also need to be a team player that can collaborate with product management and engineering teams to implement your designs.

People who meet us tend to comment on our energy, and the passion we have for what we’re doing. We hope it’s infectious! At such a fast moving start up you’ll find opportunities rather than boundaries in every single role.

If you’re interested, please send a short letter of introduction and updated CV to jobs@spotify.com for more details!
