Adam "Sven" Williams

Adam, tell us about yourself:

"My name is Adam Williams, but everyone knows me as Sven. Originally from Kent, I now live in West London. I went to Newcastle University, and in between having way too much fun, studied geography.

Adam…Sven, what do you like best about working for Spotify?

"Probably just working for such a rapidly growing cool tech business. You never know what the next three months are going to hold. But more specifically in my role, I love getting out and about to see all the agencies, meeting new clients and constantly being challenged to come up with increasingly creative ideas.

Spill the beans, Sven: what's been your most fun and challenging project?

"The very early days when there were only four of us in the UK office. We had a great product but very small audience. Although we knew we were at the start of something huge, which was massively exciting, it was very challenging to get advertisers to spend.

Before we let you go, Sven - any words of advice for people who want to work here?

"As this is such a fast-paced business, I suppose the best bit of advice is that you should be great at thriving off change, and be able to make the most of the opportunities that come up.

A genuine love and knowledge of music, tech and media are prerequisites. I'm a big fan of dance music, especially trance. I love nothing better than heading to Ibiza for a long weekend."
