When will this be available?

Nice job, guys :)

So gorgeous - @Spotify made something real of my idea http://spotifyapps.wordpress.com

This is like a strange dream - I've never seen a such gorgeous change happen to @Spotify - they until now always say no

I also wonders when it is coming out? :)

When when when ? I want it ! And I want to develop apps. Great.

We will publish a Beta version of Apps on our Preview page shortly - stay tuned.

Oh it's not yet available? Ouch... Hope to see it soon in my Spotify !

Since no one from Spotify ever responds to this question asked thousands of times - what is the status of the iPad app. Anyone who uses Pandora really knows the value of a dedicated iPad (or any tablet optimized) app. At least, respond with something.

Oh. I was excited for an iPad app. Fail!

Why would you launch a service publicly, creating a buzz, and not allow us to then use it straight away!???? Great idea though, look forward to trying it out

Interesting. Very disappointed that an iPad app is still missing, though... It's been awol for a year and a half now.

Oh, thank you. Can't wait for this!

Real shame we still have no iPad app, but still cool to see the introduction of apps

Eh...Where are these apps? Not in the left sidebar. Maybe a status that says this is rolling out over the next few days?

Hey, is this a "Radio" icon? Does this means podcasts? If it is so, it is so damn good!

When are the Developer API details going to be released?

Bit of a shaky roll-out; what's the ETA on this Apps thing actually being available for use?

Today soon, next week soon? It sounds cool but the absolutely vagueness of release after an announcement seems kind of silly.

I think this is great! A lot people complain that spotify is missing many features eg. for music discovery... Now there will be "app for the features you want and you can customize your experience as you want! I see alot of new opportunities :)

You can get the beta here: https://www.spotify.com/us/download/previews/

It's available now! http://download.spotify.com/preview/spotify_installer-0.8.0.535.g7d1e7e3b.exe Enjoy!

brilliant. I love my Spotify.

This is awesome! Becoming the music discovery hub for all tastes. And it looks beautiful!

To Spotify: Using your contact form I just posted about a possible error in your tutorial material for Spotify Apps. Spotify Apps seems great btw. Really nice with Tunewiki! Keep up the good work!

OMG - this is a brilliant update. The apps on their own would be great but with all the additional features Spotify just got 10x better. Thanks.

Great move. Congrats to everyone working hard on the project - it's brilliant. Go get some beers :)

This is BRILLIANT! Thanks a lot for a great update to a great product!!!

its not working for me :(

Anything unique for Spotify Premium users?

Nice, but where is it?

The Last.FM app is genius !

Will this also be ported to the Linux Preview binaries?

This is really great and awesome! Now we're getting somewhere!

A bug in the the Billboard app! I shared the "Hot 100" playlist to my Facebook. I can't see my own link in the news or in my profile!!! Others can see it and even like it and comment it. So if i want to chante or delete a post from Billboard app it is impossible. Very annoying!

awesome! now will someone please make an app that displays guitar tabs in sync with the music like the TuneWiki does with the lyrics?!

A shame... U just lost a client who expected to get an ipad application. Moving to deezer, tell me when u release ipad application :(

I cannot wait to have the Linux version. Please, i need it!

Love this idea. Have added the Guardian, Last.fm, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone and TuneWiki apps to my sidebar. Can't wait to see some of the great apps that are created from this.

great idea. and can't wait for someone to make the feature I have wanted for 3 years now: automated updates on new releases from artists in my library. however, I don't like the UI. Spotify is first and foremost still about music for me. now the social stuff has drowned that. At least make the categories in the left bar collapsible, so that I can actually see the "Collection" section without having to scroll. Also, in "What's New" the new released are now also halfway down the page, hidden under social stuff.

Will you be adding additional apps for music news? Would be interested in Prefix joining the mix. http://www.prefixmag.com/

You really try hard to look just like iTunes, don't you? Wouldn't mind something original in the UI department to be honest! Great to have last.fm with their recommendations now built-in (or via "apps", whatever) as it's actually a really nice feature. Would also much appreciate being able to collapse "MAIN", "APPS" and "COLLECTION" as they now take up quite a lot of the real estate in the left-hand side pane. I'd rather see my playlists I use daily than novelty items I might only use on occasion (if at all, f.e. Devices, Downloads, Top Lists).

And yet users paying ten pounds a month are still left without a spotify app for iPad. I'm increasingly disappointed with an on it's side, pixellated iPhone app when I'm paying for a premium product. How about you focus on core functionality before you start trying to reinvent the wheel?

You have to make people searchable. Finding someone is like looking for a needle in a haystack :)

@ivandal try rdio for actual social music discovery. I'm finding spotify a wasteland.

I've loved spotify from day one and I appreciate that maximising revenue is always a first for a business. However, I've just tried spotify on my virgin TiVo box and if you can put the effort in to making something as slow as that, why not a proper iPad app? Blimey, even as a premium customer, I'd be prepared to pay for something which is actually usable to access the best music service around. Please, please, please listen to your customers.
