Spotify llega a un millón de suscriptores
Pareciera que fue ayer cuando aún estábamos rebotando ideas en aquella pequeña oficina-piso-estudio con esa máquina de café medio rota. Y aún recordamos con gusto la fiesta que organizamos hace dos años por haber alcanzado el millón de usuarios.
Es por esto que nos llenamos de orgullo y emoción al anunciar una nueva cifra para recordar, ya que le hemos dado la bienvenida al millonésimo suscriptor de paga a nuestro servicio. Nuestros queridos usuarios han sido nuestra mejor promoción al apoyarnos y difundir Spotify entre sus amigos, o al compartir alguna de las más de 200 millones de listas de reproducción que han sido creadas por ellos.
De parte de toda la familia Spotify, queremos agradecerles de todo corazón su apoyo. Seguiremos teniendo el enfoque de proveer el mejor servicio de música, y esperamos ansiosamente el poder presentarles muchas novedades en los próximos meses. So now you can pay some people to make a real social network - not only based on facebook. I'm ok with spotify premium, but not enough to say "congrats". So much things that are not working, or not well done (and not changing).

Congrats!! I've been with you from the start almost and I've loved the development for both free and premium users. Especially me as a premium-user :)
I'm using Spotify Unlimited right now, but will move up to Premium as soon as I've bought a smart phone. Wish list: - Spotify introduced on the US market so that I can share my playlists with my american friends. - Even higher quality streaming! (Imagine FLAC-quality streaming) - Last.fm intergration, even more than just scrobbling (buy it and make it into a Spotify community :) ) Keep up the good work!
I agree with johnsandberg. Spotify and Last.fm merged would be a great combination. And, obviously, enter the USA market but I guess that is also #1 on the wishlist of the Spotify staff.

Congratulations! Support for Linux, Android 1.x and higher, Apple iOS 3.x and higher is THE most important reason why I prefer it above other services. I hope you can sustain the attractive pricing scheme in the near future.

A few features I'd like to see. • An indication when there's a new song in a shared playlist since you last time listen to it • An indication when new songs have been added to playlists you subscribe too • Being able to edit my profile (i'm not on FB and it's quite discriminating, for those who are not on FB) • More integration with Last.FM, concerts in your town / hint about albums for bands playing soon in your area • Extend the social integration between users • Add a sent-folder for keeping tracks of songs you sent to your friends • When syncing playlist to my iPhone, I miss the option how to sort the playlist. Very often I have a playlist that I keep adding new songs to, I'd like to have the list with latest added song first and not in the bottom.

I'm totally hooked on Spotify, that's why I have tried to spread their existence to all my friends and acquaintances. So now you owe me a little part of your success. Hooray! Surely this is the first time in history a subscription music service gets this big, and considering that it's only available in a handful of countries and only since October 2008, it's even more remarkable. Looking back, what is incredible is that neither Apple (with Itunes) nor Google (with Youtube) did it. It was Ek who did it. And of course this is only the beginning. Paid subscriptors are up more than three times versus one year ago, and this thing is only getting bigger. Once you enjoy having all of your music, anywhere, anytime, transferred automatically over the mighty Internet, there's no going back - other ways of consuming music are just too clunky and/or expensive. PS: but please make the Iphone app a little less buggy! :D
