@niniouz - different countries often have different release dates. For instance the Eels album won't be out in France until the 22nd.

@andres - thanks for this helpful feedback. After a quick search, the These New Puritans will be out in France on 25th (strange world...) And do you know why Because Music label (Charlotte Gainsbourg, Justice...) is available in UK and not in France ? It is very strange because it is available on Deezer, your main competitor in France. Does the French customer need to subscribe both to Spotify Premium and Deezer Premium ?

Andres, I'm afraid I agree with ondistantshores and others. Either you have a way of communicating better what's new or you're making huge assumptions of what some of use --who, btw, are paying premium-- might enjoy: no jazz records at all, for instance? The previous system with Google Docs, far from perfect, what's way better than this almost nothing at all.

Still enjoy Spotify alot, but I completely agree with many above - this whole "Let us know what other gems you find this week!"-attitude has to stop! Bring back the google docs as a bare minimum. I, for one, would like you to be more upfront about exactly which tracks etc are being pulled from the lists - a kind of negative update in addition to the new tracks! Anyway, going through old playlists (which I still have no way to organise tuvm...), guessing what might have been added just isnt working... Pretty please keep up the good work!!!
Justin Bieber's - My World was available today thank god been switching between the Nokia music player and the spotify music player just in order to listen to it. Now got to wait for the UK release of Baby to stop listening to that on the Nokia Music Player. Why can't everything come out for the whole world at once.

I really wish you could have this blog of new releases appearing to us within Spotify itself, instead of having to follow all the links above back and forward between browser and application. Why not even have a weekly playlist of all the new releases? And a way to subscribe to a feed of these so we don't have to pull the new one up each week?

just want to say that i fully understand those people asking for google docs BUT: i quite like the system of announcing just a few new releases. it s nice to just listen through those 5-10 recommendations... but as i said, i can fully understand everybody else...
@dtr4eva: Moonspell's albums are mostly on Century Media which seem to have pulled almost all of their releases from Spotify after just recently beginning to add them. Maybe not that difficult to understand considering Spotify's business model which hugely favours the big record companies. Why expose all your artist and not receive anything in return? I for one cancelled my Premium subscription when I realized how little the artist I listened to actually received, and now I won't subscribe again until they actually start adding more than a few releases. The excuse: "Look for gems..." etc. just don't cut it. Either close down Spotify or be open about what's going on!

Just to be clear - we're not withholding from publishing all new releases on purpose. We've made technical changes that make it hard for us to pull the new data and we're working on means to show them all again. Until we resolve that I thought it would be good at least to notify of the newest commercial releases we're adding rather than not say anything at all when we add new music.

Why don't you comment when major artists suddenly dissapear from spotify? (i.e. Bob Dylan, Tool, Rammstein...) would be nice to know why they dissapear. Any comments to the major artists that never have been on Spotify (i.e. Led Zepelin, AC/DC, Metallica, The Beatles...) is there any chance these artist will be available on Spotify? Today Spotify i a nice little app, but obviously not near to be the only sourse for music listening, you will need to complement it with your MP3/CD/Vinyl library to get your daily dosage of music.
Is there any chance of getting an uncensored version of Motion City Soundtrack's new album? It's an amazing album ruined by random sentences removed for no real reason.
