At Spotify we're driven to help everyone enjoy
music a little more. We go about doing this by
trying to solve hard computer science problems
to build a service that our parents could use
– it's all about simplicity.
Our projects include everything from inventing
algorithms that make advertising relevant to
users and valuable to marketers, to designing
a new interesting front page for our website.
The core of the company lies in engineering
– we're a data driven company.
Long ago, we learned a lesson by asking the
first guy we knew with a driving licence to
join our band (disaster!). These days we pick
our team members very, very carefully. Most
people we've hired ended up meeting us at least
three or four times, but considering we see
each other almost every day that's really not
too bad. We enjoy each others company in and
out of office, and social happenings are plentiful.
